Over at The Gaming Blog of Daniel Primed, there’s a post listing the best upcoming fan-service games of 2008. I have been on something of a retro-kick for the past few weeks. Writing the history reminded me of many great games that I haven’t played in a long while, and grabbing the SCUMMVM software meant I was able to scratch that itch.

As Daniel points out, there’s a slew of games coming out in 2008 to keep those of us obsessed with particular franchises happy. I’ll be getting a PSP solely to play Crisis Core, and the much publicized Starcraft 2 is going to be a highly interesting release.

Over on Artful Gamer, Chris has written a great post about LucasArts use of iMuse for their music, and I decided to fire up The Curse of Monkey Island for old times sake.

Meanwhile, should you not be a member of ModDB, they recently released the results of their Mod of the Year Awards. Some great titles on the list, that are definitely worth your time and attention. Check ‘em out!

My brother showed me the mod of the year video. It definetly showed some great insight into the mod community. Something that I don’t follow very often.

I ought to look into that SCUMMVM stuff as my old Monkey Island discs and Amiga have had it. >
