Five pieces of concept art from Mideast Crisis 2, showing some of the design ideas behind vehicles and buildings. Good stuff here, and you can see them in detail by clicking on the thumbnails.

MEC2 is still looking for voice actors, so if you want to get involved in making one of the best and most eagerly anticipated mods for CNC3, check out this thread for details on what's needed.

And finally, MEC2 was featured over at Gamer's Global. Check out their exclusive screenshot, and the results of the questions they asked the MEC2 team.

Civilian Fuel Truck - Tech Object

GoI Internet Center - Tech Center

GoI Outpost - Mobile Barracks

Civilian Town Hall - Tech Building
When captured by Israeli's, generates static income and provides stealth detection.

When captured by the GoI, provides Stealth and Repair to all ground units nearby plus can construct light vehicles.

Vote for this Mod in the ModDB 2007 Awards!

When we look at modern man, we have to face the fact that modern man suffers from a kind of poverty of the spirit, which stands in glaring contrast with a scientific and technological abundance.

Nicely done there mate! Especially the mobile barrack to the GOI Faction, but there one thing I wounder and if it's OK form you  to come up with some new units for the game? Roll Eyes

I would mostly like to draw units to the GOI, mostly because I'm myself form the middle east and an other thing I'm good at drawing but not as good as you^^ Smiley

Something that'll be posted on our mainsite, but should be mentioned is that all of those concepts were done by the talented Michal Kus. Don't have his portfolio offhand (but it will be linked on our eventual staff page), but a number of his concepts are up here;

http://www.cncden.com/cnc3_fanartwork.shtml

The way that it worked out was that I put spyVspy (from Halogen/Asylum fame) on concepting the vehicles we needed, and put Michal on the buildings (and civilian units).

Michal's concepts typically were a bit too futuristic, like the fuel truck...so we keep 80-90% of the design, and would tweak it to fit in better. It worked out very well (actually just finished that Fuel Truck texture the other day).

--------------------

Also, I'm not sure if it was due to my whole lack of sleep/sanity or just quoting out of context but a few things should be pointed out about the brief interview;

"pretty much all the code done" - thats in regard to the GoI, not the UN or IDF

And yes, we haven't gone in and taken a "fix the Hebrew" pass at MEC2 yet.

@Hebbex, if you want to draw stuff up on your own...please do, and post them for us to see on the MEC2 boards. However, keep in mind that all of our concepts are either done, or in progress right now. Hell, most are even modeled and textured already. Tongue

Awesome art there! The fuel truck looks really high tech though. Not that that's a bad thing.

Loving the GoI Internet centre. Only problem with it is that everyone inside will probably be too busy playing games to concentrate! Cheesy

It looks really great!! Smiley
Just a small comment – the Hebrew logo for "Burger Kong" is wrong:
The letters order should be written right to left:
בורגר קונג
(and not left lo right as it appears in the last screenshot: גנוק רגרוב).
Tongue
Btw, I think someone already said that before…
